A couple more pictures....

Jon's Charlie Brown tree!

Princess Sam

Will it ever end?!!

After spending a couple days sick-so sick I sent all my children over to my parents for a couple days-I was looking forward to the end of what seemed like a long week. Thank the Lord my parents live close by! They have come to my rescue many, many times. As we head into a new week and 2 days worth of funeral masses (Jason's aunt passed away on Friday-she was a nun), I am now looking forward to February! I am on the downward slope of the pregnancy and the days seem to get longer and longer.

In other news, the group that does Nicholas's therapy started the paperwork for preschool in September. There are only 2 openings this fall. I am pushing for him in. Who knew it would be such a process! We can't just sign him up we have to go before the shcool district board and a whole bunch of other meetings for evaluations, etc. I just keep telling myself this is what Nick needs. He needs to be away from me. In the end it will all be worth it. But he is only 2! Thankfully, the teacher at the preschool was one that used to come to the house. I really like her so I feel somewhat better about sending my little boy on a BIG bus to spend a few hours at school. He has progressed so much over the last few weeks it is truly amazing. Especially, his speech. He signs and talks which I love to watch him do. He is so cute!
Anyway, here are some more pictures.....

Snow Day!

I was just saying to Jason on Saturday how we are almost through January and we haven't had any real snowfall. Well, I just jinxed us! because Saturday night it came! Of course, Syracuse didn't have a snowflake. And much to our dismay, the Jeep we use to plow doesn't work right and the snowblower decided to throw parts instead of snow. To top it all off, Jason hurt his back while shoveling. Hmmmm....anything else??! I took Jason to the dr today. The dr. gave him some exercises, a prescription for a muscle relaxer and told us to play some scratch offs. We laughed and I told him we would get the one that said "LOSER"! When we told him what happened, he agreed! Needless to say, we have great neighbors who come to our rescue. They are also good friends. Here is the result of that....

I went out for a little while and shoveled...a path for the dog and in front of the garage. Jonathan came out to help, but only lasted about 10 minutes. He was cold! I lasted a bit longer and I hope I don't have to do it again anytime soon!

Baby

Here is baby #4. Not that you can tell much. It is a picture of his head, face, and his little fist up near his mouth. Jonathan has named him Jimmy Junior. Not sure why. If it is anything like the last 2 I will be waiting for surgery and we still won't have a name!
Speaking of surgery. One nice thing about having a c-section is getting plan the date. Although, I would like to experience going into labor at least once. Maybe! The baby is scheduled to arrive on May 13th around 130pm. I wanted the 830 appointment but I guess all the other moms do too. It is hard for me to wait all morning. Well, I have to be there at 1130 so I guess it isn't so bad. With Nicholas, we got to the hospital early and the practically threw me on the table! Good thing because my dr recieved a call in the middle of surgery wondering where he was....he was supposed to be at a seminar!
The countdown begins as I head into the last phase of this pregnancy. So far, so good. Now I just have to get the house cleaned up. Right!

Jonathan & school

Jonathan is doing well in school. He seems to like science the best. Which I find interesting because I didn't do well in science! He is about 3 weeks ahead. We start a section and he wants me to read the whole section. The next day, I ask him the questions and he manages to get them all correct. He is not especially fond of math. When he applies himself and concentrates, he does really well. He is getting better at handwriting-again once he settles down and concentrates. On Wednesdays, he gets ready to go to Grandma and Grandpa's house to spend the night. We patiently go through our school routine waiting for Grandpa's call to let us know he is coming to get Jon. Then Jonathan proceeds to go berserk as he agian is waiting! Thursday is Jon's special day with Grandma. Grandma teaches Jon art and music. Also, he goes to a reading program at the library down the road from their house. There are 3 other children and the read a story, have a snack and do a craft. Perfect! Jonathan has opened up a little bit and is even talking to others. A big step for him. Every other Thursday is Trail Tales at Beaver Lake Nature Center. Jonathan gets to listen to stories about an animal, sometimes see a stuffed one and then go on a nature walk. Sometimes he has a full day because I will send his math and maybe some other work for him. In the end, he comes home just as hyper as when he left and gets ready to prepare for a new day.

Christmas pics

For some reason I don't have pictures for Christmas day. I do have pictures from what my brother and family got for the kids. I don't have a picture of Sami and her Polly Pockets either. She received some for Christmas and will spend hours just changing the dolls clothes. Since then she has received 2 more dolls with clothes and a case. It is great for when Jon is homeschooling and Nick is taking his nap. She is quiet and playing by herself! Here are some pictures.....

They had a great time! They love those bouncing balls and Nick loves his bounce and spin zebra.

I had to add a picture of a visitor we had a few months ago...an albino raccoon!

For those of you who haven't seen...the new Jonathan! At first he was non chalant about losing his tooth. Then it started to hurt! And he didn't like it so much. But he survived and is waiting for the one next to it to come out.
Sami got a new hair cut. She looks so much older now.

Nicholas is enjoying his ride on the bouncy ball-with some help of course.

Finally started a blog!

Hello everyone,

I have finally gotten around to starting a blog. Now you can frequently check the site to see what we have been up to. Well, mostly the kids anyway. I thought it would be fun after viewing some of my friend sites. So stick with me as I get started on the new journey.
