Cousins

While searching through some old photos, I found this one of my cousins, Susan and Mark. I just had to share it. I don't know if you can tell, but Susan has flipped her eyelids up! She'll most likely want to kill me! Thankfully, she lives in Texas! Love you guys!

Happy Anniversary!

Happy Anniversary!
August 10, 2008
Jason and I recently celebrated out 12th Anniversary. I know it is hard to believe, but it is true. We had a great opportunity to go out to dinner and spend to some quality time at Best Buy...spending Jason's reward certificates. Thnaks so much to our wonderful pastor, his lovely wife, Dava and their daughter Jessica for watching Jon, Sami and Nick. Without them...my parents would have done it! I am always glad to share my children with them! Everyone had a good time. As we were leaving their house to go home, Samantha said she loves Jessi, so not to be out done, Jonathan said he did too! How special!! We truly are blessed!

CNY and Ty!

It's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition in CNY! That's Central New York. Yes, Ty Pennington was here today in Geneva to announce to one family they are getting a new home. The family is flying to Cancun while their new house is being built. Can't wait to see the results!

I don't remember what kind of turtle this is!

Not much to see at the zoo. They are under construction...only they don't tell you that when you pay! But everyone had a good time anyway.

The Cottage

We love to go to "Papa's Beach". We go swimming, walking, fishing, bike riding...or in my case...rest! I love it because it is so peaceful and I can forget about everything! It has always been a special place for me and I am glad my children get to spend time there with family.

Jonny's big fish!

Jason's Dream Elk!

Jason's Fish

Poor Jason! He tries so hard to catch so good fish! I think he has the fishing curse! Here is one of his "big" catches! We have no idea what it is...it didn't want to take a good picture!

I just love listening to Steven talk! It is so cute! And he loves to talk!

Visit With Family

Our Florida family visited in July. Normally, they are up here for a couple months, but Grandpa had to stay in Florida for chemo/radiation so they only came up for a short visit. It was good to see them and we had fun. Cousin Mark (the kids call him Uncle Mark!) from Texas was also here, but I don't have any pictures of him. Mark says he does not do well with kids, but he is wrong. He plays really well with mine! Jon and Sami love him! Just followed him around everywhere!

King of the Castle

I guess since Papa couldn't be here this summer, Nicholas decided to take his spot at the head of the table!

Outside fun

The kids have been putting the Gator though the works this summer. And Nicholas has even been able to ride it..as long as Jon goes slow and is careful. I thought for sure Nick was going to come flying out when Jon went around the tree. But it was Sami that came flying out the back! Boy was she mad!!

Jason's handiwork

Jason is putting on a breezeway. Right now it is enclosed and he is working on the electrical. We already have a big window for the frong and a window for the back. We are waiting for the doors to come in.

Strange Children!

Don't ask! Moral of the story is....don't leave your children, no matter what age, unattended for long!

Sami has an Elmo easter basket on her head and she is in the baby swing!

Singing Nick...

"Clean up, clean up everybody, everywhere. Clean up, clean up everybody do your share."

This is a song the speech teacher started singing with Nicholas. The last few days I have been able to hear Nicholas singing this song. Well, trying to anyway. I know that is what he is saying! It is so wonderful to hear him talk. I can't begin to explain the joy and excitement I feel in just this small accomplishment. He'll just be sitting around and be singing the clean up song. I love it!

Nicholas Goes to Preschool

It is hard to believe that in only a month school starts again. And this time I actually have 2 children leaving the house for school this year. Sami will be attending a preschool down the road and Nicholas will be attending a special preschool. Friday, Jason and I had the opportunity to visit the school Nicholas will be attending. I feel much better! Nicholas walked in like he owned the place. He was so excited. He even made a new friend, DJ, who is actually about Nick's size. It was cute watching Nick socialize with the other children and teachers. They made edible playdoh and Nick loved it! You can always count on Nick to eat it. He played outside on the playground too. He will be riding a bus to and from the school. We even got his back pack already. I will miss him terribly, but I know it will be good for both of us. I can't wait to see the changes in him. He will have so much fun!
