The chickens...

...are getting sooooo big! The Cornish are huge! And the bantams are still tiny. Jason is still working on building a chicken coop. We have an area fenced off outside so we take them out when it is nice. It is still so fun to watch them. We got some roosters! The are making themselves known within the group!

The Bantam rooster. He is funny looking!
The temporary chicken coop, aka the playhouse!

Always

This is my new favorite song by Building 429. I have never heard of this group. This song was played at my cousin Christopher's memorial service on Saturday. It is such a beautiful song. I wanted to share it. It is playing in the back ground and these are the words.

In honor of Christopher Glennon
Rest in Peace

I was standing in the pour raining
One dark November night
Fighting off the bitter cold
When she caught my eye
Her face was torn and her eyes were filled
And then to my surprise
She pulled out a photograph
And my heart just stopped inside
She said He would have been three today
I miss his smile, I miss his face
What was I supposed to say
But I believe always always
Our Savior never fails
Even when all hope is gone
God knows our pain and His promise remains
He will be with you always
He was living in a broken world dreaming of a home
His heart was barely keeping pace
When I found him all alone
Remembering the way he felt
When his daddy said goodbye
Fighting just to keep the tears
And the anger locked inside
He's barely holding on to faith
But deliverance is on its way
'Cuz I believe always always
Our Savior never fails
Even when all hope is gone
God knows our pain and His promise remains
He will be with you always
Friend I don't know where you are
And I don't know where you've been
Maybe you're fighting for your life
Or just about to throw the towel in
But if you're crying out for mercyIf there's no hope left at all
If you've given everything you've got
And you're still about to fall
Well hold on, hold on, hold on
Cuz I believe always always
Our Savior never fails
Even when all faith is gone
God knows our pain and His promise remains
Always, Always
He will be with you always
He will be with you always
He will be with you

No More Carseat!!!

Happy 7th Birthday,
Jonathan Robert Kobelia!

On Mother's Day 2002, my grandmother, Jennie Irene, suddenly passed away. Two days later, Jonathan was born. With death, comes life. I miss her very much. It breaks my heart that my grandmother never got to meet him, or the other great grand children. But her memory lives on. We struggled so long to have a child. Maybe that reason was because my grandma was going to die and God knew we would need something or someone to help get through. How far we have all come from that sad but glorious time.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart.....Pro. 3:5

Peek a boo

Here is my little munchkin peeking out the window as we bring in the groceries. He is standing on his tippy toes, He is walking around on his own now. It is quite creepy to turn around and there he's standing!

Oh,Nicky!

At dinner the other night, Jason asked Nick a question and this was his response.....

I'm sorry I laughed so hard! He does the funniest things! What a cutie!

Our new family members

Jonathan has never shown any interest in animals.....until the chickens! We have aquired 10 little chicks recently and Jonathan has taken very good care of them. He enjoys taking them out and playing with them. To me, it is quite strange..you can't cuddle with a chicken! Although, they are cute and very fun to watch. We have 4 cornish chick, 2 Rhode Island Reds, 2 Red Sex Link (I still don't know what that means!) and 2 itty bitty Bantams.
