Sami went to visit a friend from school and came home with Cinderella hat and scarf. The other little girl

Nicholas update

Today we visited the Ear, nose and throat specialist. Nick is slowly progressing. He actually let the doctor look in his ears. Of course, he still couldn't see anything. So, we laid him down for a better look. Nick was none to happy! The doctor can see in the left but not the right...alot of wax! In the end, we decided to have Nick "knocked" out again to have a better look and have his ears cleaned out. At the same time, they will do his annual hearing test and do his heart test. We are fast approaching heart surgery time. I cannot believe it! I have already put myself in a tizzy! I will loose sleep, not eat properly, be irritable. Just thinking about them cutting open my little boy's chest makes me want to cry! And maybe the hole closed and Nick won't have to have surgery. Whatever the case, we won't know for a few more months yet. I really thought this day would never come. Besides all that, Nicholas is going fantastic in school. All things considered. His speech is coming along very nicely. He enjoys singing and dancing. He signs many words as well as speaks them. He is starting to form some sentences...ones hears quite often! Our biggest accomplishment...Nick started to drink from a cup! Up until now he has resisted. He has some muscle control problems with that but he doesn't seem to mind to much when the water spills on him. He is also learning to dress himself and use a zipper. Huge success! Unfortunately, he has what I call unintentional aggression. He likes to push the baby over when he sees Steven sitting on the floor. Tonight while I was changing the baby, Nick was sitting near him and bit him! I don't know why! And that kid is strong! Poor Stevie! Nick loves Steven. There is no doubt about that. Just some thing we need to work on.

Well, Auntie "M" must have know the really cold weather was coming because she made the kids new hats and mittens. They are certainly getting there use these days! Of course, we had to try them out once the gifts were opened!
