If you don't like too much information, do not read this post!
Some days are filled with so much drama I can hardly stand it! I am not supposed to drive so I my mother or my husband has to cart me around to get things done. (Actually, today I took Sami to school and made a trip to Wal-Mart!) Tuesday, Jon and Steve had a doctor appointment and Sami was sick with a stomach bug, so my mother graciously took them to the appointment. Prior to them leaving, Jonathan knocked his face on the corner of the stair railing. I told him he needed to calm down! He ended up with a nice bruise on his cheek. Thankfully, he didn't hit his eye. Jon did manage to get a good report from the doctor. Steven, on the other hand, did not. Cue depressing music....apparently, Steven is not getting enough to eat. He lost another ounce in a week. I say depressing music because he is the only one I have been able to breastfeed. Well, I thought I was able to. Please pray for us. Steven is going back for a weight check on June 3rd. Hopefully, he will have gained some weight. I have been feeding him at least every 2 hours for the last 2 days hoping my milk would come in. I assume he must be getting something since he threw up in his car seat today! What a scary situation. I don't want to lose out on something so precious, but I also don't want to deny my son the nurishment he needs. I have committed to breastfeeding until his next appointment and if he has not gained weight, then I will end up going to formula. In the meantime, I will also try pumping to see if I am even producing enough food for the poor child.

So sorry, it must be so frustrating.
Before anyone has kids, they think that you just get pregnant, have the baby on schedule, and everything is picturesque...then you get pregnant for the first time and discover all of the complications you never thought about before...as you said, drama!!!
I'll be praying that everything goes smoothly in the next week or two...
You need to find a local la legue league. check here for your state and county to find someone local to talk to. Maybe he is not latching on correctly? do not give us, babies tend to lose weight after birth. Really really give a LLL person a call! Promise me you will?
