Nick's visit to the cardiologist
What a loooong afternoon! All things considered, Nick held up well. We had an appointment at 1pm with the cardiologist. Always a long visit! And traffic was heavy to and from the city. I hate traffic! We arrived in the parking garage at 1230 and left at 315. AHHHHHH!! After waiting in the waiting room, you wait in the exam room. You move from room, to room, to room. Thankfully, Nick was still long enough to have both tests done. The good news is the hole in the bottom chambers of his heart, AtrioVentrical Septel Defect (AVSD), is "functionally closed"! But he still has a hole between the upper chambers, atrium. He will eventually need surgery to close that hole because it caused the right side of the heart to work harder. The dr is not concerned at this point. He said problems usually don't arise until 20 or 30 years later. So, Nick can continue on with his normal, happy, active life. Praise God!

Wonderful news!
Incidentally, Bruce & Abigail both had ASD and both of them have had it corrected now...Abigail's was discovered very young, but Bruce's wasn't found & corrected until he was 33!
