Our Veggie garden
Well, we tried our hand at a garden this year. We planted carrots, corn, green and yellow beans, scallions, broccolli, peppers, tomotoes, summer squash and zucchini. Oh and some giant pumpkins. The carrots, scallions, zucchini and squash did really well. The pumpkins seeds washed away shortly after they were planted. The corn, which was too tough for my taste, was eaten and trampled by the farmers cows. They saw the grass is greener on the other side! I guess the corn is too! Our tomotoes were plagued. So Jason had to pull the plants up and burn them. But all that has not deterred us. We have made out garden bigger and already planted garlic. We are going to try pumpkins again. We would like to get enought to sell next year. We are planning on cutting our squash plants down....to one plant each!! We will try tomotoes again. Hopefully, we will have better luck! And we are going to try a different type of corn. The kids are already looking forward to planting another garden.
